Bella Spark Proposed Posters

The ethereal quality of the night or early morning light, it is hard to describe. The band Bello Spark has a reflection of that quality. Here are posters  and imagery that was proposed for use on their 2013 tour.

X Logo proposal

This was a proposed mark for a new property company that sold and managed commercial properties. The company was thinking that they wanted an "X" in their name. The lines are on a 45ยบ angle perpendicular to each other which is a common structure in commercial buildings.

WINTER WEEKEND proposal

This is a proposal for a winter weekend event.

GALA INVITE

This was a proposal for an invite to a gala celebrating the 100 year anniversary of a local non-profit which included special guest former first lady Rosalyn Carter. The proposed card was set up as a inexpensive 2-color black and green print that matches the non-profit institution's logo. Being a christian institution, evident by the logo, elements of the cross were carried throughout this 3 card design. The invite included a ready to mail, tear-off RSVP.

Main title card front and back.

Info card front and back.

Tear-off RSVP postcard front and back.

NOVELTY ITEMS

This was a sign proposed to promote retro novelty items near cash registers.

DYNAMIC OFFICE SPACE

This was a proposed 2-color 9x12 envelope/container for a local furniture distributor whose logo I removed to remain anonymous. The client unfortunately seemed more interested in showing full color products rather than offering a unique introduction of their company to potential clients—therefore this never saw the light of day. The concept of the piece was  intended to show how they can dynamically change an office's space.

MEMORIAL LOGO

A proposed logo for a memorial chapel.

RESTAURANT REVIEW LOGO

This was a proposed logo for a restaurant review website. As you can see it juxtaposes images of a menu, plates and table all while maintaining readability.

BASEBALL AND WEB PRODUCTION

This was a proposed logo for a website development company with an affinity for baseball. I felt the name "fastball" itself was enough recognition towards baseball that the visual cues should focus on the web and speed.

POKER PROMOTIONAL SET

This was a proposal for a potential local printer's self-promo item. It is a poker chip and card set that visually promotes the printing company's identity and services. The set would be memorable and would more than likely receive use in the customer's possession for years to come.

SKI RESORT BOUTIQUE

Logos proposed for a ski resort's new retail boutique.

KIDS PROGRAM LOGO IDEAS

These are proposed logo ideas for a kids skiing and snowboarding program. You can view the final logo here.

DVD COVER PROPOSAL

This was a proposed visual theme for the Love Botswana DVD case.

SALSA LABEL PROPOSALS

Proposals for a private labeling of organic cherry salsa atento for Crystal Mountain.

NON-PROFIT COFFEE COMPANY DESIGN PROCESS

These are some proposed ideas for a coffee label that was trying to find a name and a look that worked for them. Many of these elements never saw the light of day, which is common, I show this to exemplify my design proposal process. You can view the final approved label here.

The sun is used as a saucer in a surrealist art deco style.

More surrealism used to represent the coffee plant as well as the farm's community.
More styles used to visually communicate the differing company name possibilities.

Point of sale racks or end-caps proposed for retail locations

WEB PROGRAMING COMPANY

This was a proposed logo for a start-up web business.

1913 PROPOSAL

This is a proposal series for The 1913 Room and The Grill at 1913 located downtown Grand Rapids. Both places had dark wood paneling which lends itself to communicating the fine ambiance they offer which is the main selling point, therefore it was used throughout the proposal. On the left are two ads that were designed to communicate luxury with enough negative space to appeal to a post modern generation.
These light pole banners were designed primarily for the foot traffic audience. Below is a composition of their use.

This newsletter follows the same design as the other collateral.
This proposed mailing of a cloth napkin and ring communicates a special event while implying elegance.

These last two ads are designed to communicate to a thrifty middle to upper class audience.

MOUNTAIN SPORTS LOGO PROPOSALS

These are proposed logos for a ski resort sport program

COFFEE WEBSITE

This was a proposed design for a coffee and nut company's website.
This was a proposed poster and look for a heavy metal band.
